Bob Shaw at The Honest Ulsterman

My article on Bob Shaw is available online at The Honest Ulsterman. (  It’s part of a series of articles on Irish writers that I’ve been working on for a while – earlier articles concerned Lord Dunsany. Fitz-James O’Brien and Sheridan L Fanu — prompted by the HA’s editor, Gregory McCartney.

Writing them is a good excuse to delve into the past, particulary into those writers who have resonated with me (although I admit that I am a relatively new convert to Dunsany) and to hoist the flag for Irish speculative writers.

I have my sights set on James White next, which should be fun.
